Burn, Do not Smeared Toothpaste or Oil

Burns can occur anywhere from splashing oil until scalded. Many who use toothpaste or oil to treat it but it was the wrong way. How do I deal with burns right? Affected skin usually burns hot and like a blister, causing discomfort in the body.

Ordinary people often treat burns by applying toothpaste, margarine or oil. Yet they are not allowed, because it is not the right choice.

"When the body is exposed to severe burns, the body will naturally discharge to treat it," said Elsya Ovihardini, Assistant Trainer Medic One in the Live Saver CPR GKBI Competency at Wisma, Jakarta, Tuesday (22/12/2009).

Elsya added during the burns to the skin tissue is damaged, the best treatment is simply flowed with water alone.

"If smeared with toothpaste or margarine to cover the skin and prevent fluid coming out of the body and can also prevent medical personnel to treat," he added.

If the resulting burns only a small example of cooking oil spattered, then after cleaning the wound be smeared with ointment burn skin around the burn. But if the wound is large scalded eg after cleaning the hospital should be taken.

Once again, if there is a burn avoid using toothpaste or margarine. But it's pretty clean with water alone.
